Things You’ll Need
• Card stock in various colors
• Craft knife
• Cutting mat
• Glue dots
Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 inches by 8 1/2 inches.
Cut out the decoration you’d like to use within of the card. Be imaginative! You can make hearts, words, or a modern X and O design like ours. You’ll want two huge pieces, approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter, and lots of small pieces, approximately 3/4 inches in diameter.
Fold the white cardstock in half to create a crease, making a card that is 5 inches by 4 1/4 inches. Unfold. Using a ruler and a craft knife, cut slit in the card perpendicular to the crease. You’ll make four slit to make two pop-up platforms. Make your slit so that they are of equal length on either side of the crease.
Kindly fold the card stopped again to crease the pop-up platforms into position.
Start insertion the small pieces you cut onto the top half of the within of the card. Place a glue dot on the backside of each piece and scatter them around pending the top inside of the card is covered.
If any of your shapes hang up over the edge of your card, smart away the excess with scissors until the edges are even.
Cut colored pieces of cardstock to 5 inches by 4 1/4 inches. Cut another piece of a different color to the same size, and then cut this piece in half on a diagonal of your choosing.
Place glue dots on the back of the diagonal section and layer it on top of the full part, adhering them jointly.
Make use of some of your snippets from the shapes that you cut out previously for decoration on the front of the card.
